Morgan Ashurst goes green with biomass boiler at £44m Bideford College

Morgan Ashurst has installed a biomass boiler as part of its ongoing £44 million revamp of Bideford College in Devon.

The boiler is one of a number of sustainable features being included in the new building alongside a sedum roof and rain water harvesting.

The college is being built within the grounds of the existing building at Abbotsham Road, which will be demolished when construction complete - scheduled for July 2010.

Work is being carried out for Devon County Council and is partly funded by the £55 billion Building Schools for the Future programme.
