Pipe and Climate Center has recognised that it is no longer sufficient to supply products at the right price. It is now necessary to focus on the changing needs of customers both large and small. As a result, six areas of focus were established to improve customer services while providing potential for growth in the future.

These included: value-added services; sustainability; working with customers; restructuring to meet changing needs; refrigerant training; and focus on ‘best in class’ delivery. The results have included the formation of prefabrication and offsite assembly services, saving customers manpower, money and time.

In addition, Pipe Center has established its Sustainable Building Center, incorporating the largest selection of working displays of a variety of renewable energy solutions in the UK.

The company has developed partnerships with organisations such as Lorne Stewart to provide a low-carbon approach to procurement of products and materials. It has also recognised the converging needs of mechanical and electrical contractors and combined its channels into a one-stop source of supply.
