New year means times for a change
In keeping with much of the industry, there seems little sense of finality with the end of the year. From our perspective, this is mainly due to the many and varied initiatives we are planning in the New Year, combined with diary appointments being made up to next March.
The first of these will be our revamped Opportunities section that will be launched in the 11 January issue, followed by a variety of other introductions in the magazine, with online and face-to-face events also included.
The reason for these is that, as we all know, the HVAC sector is experiencing some of the most profound changes it has ever faced, as the carbon reduction and energy issues drive demand for increasing efficiency and adoption of renewable energy technology.
The difficulties facing installers and contractors include keeping up with the constant changes to legislation and the government’s ongoing adjustments to incentives.
The need for education and accurate information, always an essential element for industry professionals, has now increased exponentially.
H&V News has established a reputation as a news-led publication and will continue to extend its services in 2012.
I would like to thank all our readers, advertisers and sponsors for their valuable input throughout 2011. It has been a tough year for many, but when is business ever easy? The New Year awaits us and I look forward to reporting on the industry’s many successes in 2012.
