Contractors invited to bid for £7m Midlands gas servicing job

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is inviting contractors to bid for a gas servicing and maintenance contract worth up to £7 million.

The contractor will be expected to provide comprehensive 3-star servicing and maintenance of domestic gas boilers and heating systems to around 6,000 tenanted homes.

The scope of work comprises full breakdown cover, annual statutory servicing of boilers and responsive repairs and maintenance.

In addition the contractor may also be required to provide a similar service to Rugby Borough Council across 4,000 tenanted homes.

The contract will run for an initial three years with the option to extend for two further two year periods.

Between five and eight firms will be shortlisted for the job on 22 March. Pre-qualification questionnaires are due for submission by 10 February.
