Hygiene guidelines updated

Guideline VDI 6022 Part 2 relating to hygienic requirements for ventilation and air-conditioning systems and devices has been updated.The new Part 2 of the guideline describes the measurements of hygienic parameters, which have to be carried out in the context of hygiene checks and hygiene inspections as per VDI 6022 Part 1. This means, in particular, techniques for the microbiological sampling of air, water and surfaces as well as the determination of the dust density on surfaces. The microbiological investigations either required or recommended by VDI 6022 Part 1, where they can be carried out by personnel having a hygiene training as per VDI 6022, are described in the new guideline in terms of the reference values, the required qualification of the personnel, the procedure for carrying out the measurements and the interpretation of the measurement results.The practical performance of the measurements explained in VDI 6022 Part 2 is part of the contents taught by VDI training contractors.The guideline VDI 6022 Part 2 is issued by the VDI Society for Building Services.
